Barbershop: Staut barberstue, Tønsberg, Norway

Situated in my hometown of Tønsberg, Staut barbershop is my regular goto barbershop and a premier destination for men's grooming, offering traditional haircuts, beard trims, and classic hot towel shaves. After moving between several locations in the centre after being established in 2016, the barbershop is now located in Tolbodgaten. As a customer you are given meticulous attention to detail and exceptional service.

Esthetically, Staut, is a mix of nostagia and americana, with a splash of hipster and irony. Music played is often bluegrass or similar music.

A lot of the customers are regular, and the topics of shop conversation is about everything from sports, local news and events, world politics to everyday life.

Whether you're seeking a classic haircut, a precise beard trim, or a traditional shave, Staut Barberstue in Tønsberg offers a refined grooming experience tailored to the discerning gentleman.

Barbershop: Big Jims Trim, Bergen, Norway

Big Jims Trim is my go-to barber shop whenever I visit my hometown of Bergen. Located in Domkirkegaten, it offers alle the essential men´s barber treatments. The atmosphere is calm and friendly, and the aesthetics is mandatory hipster light with a touch of “sailor”.

The barbershop is run by Wade, a South African who ended up in Bergen. A shout out to him allowing me to have an appointment outside regular opening hours (I was in a kind of “urgency “as I was attending Gullruten later that evening)

The craftmanship has been superb everytime I have visited. Very thorough and attention to details. Thumbs up from me.
